Tactic: Pretending to be other people!

August 11, 2010

Heres a rather interesting tactic James is trying! Seems that he is upset about his having his rather colourful set of different identities shown- including the fact that at one stage he claimed he was a 70 year old woman!

So, what is he trying now? To pretend he is me! Want to bet some nasty emails etc. purportedly from me, will suddenly appear? Sadly for him, I was on at the wrong time and caught his quick change act!

So, lets first look at him claiming he is a 70 year old woman

Then we see on another question where it suddenly changed from his Yaakov account to being me!

And back to Yaakov as a 70 year old woman, who is now no picture and my name jumbled!

So, how long till we see “messianic jews” using faked posts/emails etc from Yaakov claiming they are from me? LOL Too bad for them that they got caught out and the whole quick change act caught! Hmm, and since that is my real picture, if they do try to misrepresent themselves as me, then it actually becomes a case of identity theft and criminal misrepresentation!

And now we have my picture along with my name backwards

Heh, caught out James shows his immaturity in his lastest username and avatar! One has to wonder if if he is proud of his actions, and if his fellow “messianic jews” support such actions or actually feel ashamed to be associated with such antics!

EDIT: And here we finally come full circle- the transformation of James back to Ya’akov! LOL The only question remaining is what harm were they intending to cause by pretending to be me? What criminal behaviour was headed off by the fact that I picked up their scam and identity theft before they were able to perpetrate whatever misdeeds they were planning? It is likely we will never know anything beyond the fact that it was a close call to having “messianic jews” steal the identity of one of their critics!

I had to write and tell you that you’vel got some damn funny stuff here. Hollywood would make a movie based on it. I’ve been laughing my fanny off!

If you don’t see the humor in this, you’re missing something.

    • Really “anonymous”- you can stick to the previous userid and email you used as “Hebrews” LOL

As for this being hilarious- you’re right, the desperation to try and find a way to discredit me, and being so inept about it is laughable. However, if it hadn’t have been caught out, then the identity theft and misappropriation might have had serious consequences! So, while I can laugh over the desperation that led to James/Ya’akov trying his out; I find less humour in the situation when I contemplate what damage could have been inflicted by their identity theft!

Interesting site. I must ask this though, what scripture backs up this unusual way of dealing with a religion you do not agree with? For whatever reason do you have a verse of scripture or two that would show us you are doing G-d’s will here?

    2. Now that the site is up and running, what sign do you have that this is pleasing to G-d?

Just wondering, and I’m not messianic, I’m Catholic.

    • Warren, I am not attacking another religion- I am attacking the deceptive and dishonest practices of a missionary movement aimed at converting Jews!

As for where we see in the Torah that we should oppose such dishonest tactics- it is stated in Devarim (Deuteronomy) Chapter 13 7. If your brother, the son of your mother, tempts you in secret or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your embrace, or your friend, who is as your own soul saying, “Let us go and worship other gods, which neither you, nor your forefathers have known.” ז.
      8. Of the gods of the peoples around you, [whether] near to you or far from you, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth; ח.
      9. You shall not desire him, and you shall not hearken to him; neither shall you pity him, have mercy upon him, nor shield him. ט.

“messianic jews” are the classical example of the meizid- and thus while we cannot take action to bring them before the Sanhedrin to be judged, we can take action by exposing them and their tactics to make sure it is highlighted and those vulnerable to their lies and deceit are educated as to how they operate!

    Question 3:

What are your qualifications for the work you are doing here. Most of us have a resume put together — do you have a past in religious sciences, philosophy or psychiatry that qualifies you for such sensitive work? What about your answers, are they doing more harm than good?

No sarcasm please, I haven’t given any and don’t expect any in return.

    Dr. J. Warren, Psychologist
    New York

    • My resume? Lets see- 18 years of studying Judaism daily, about an equivalent amount of time online fighting against anti-Semitism and missionaries, time spent in Yeshivah learning Judaism, personal experiences with confronting missionaries and the tactics they use.

Are my answers doing more harm than good? Nope- from the feedback I have received they have been very well received by the Jewish community- though obviously not well received by the “messianic jewish” community. I have had two people tell me that my answers have helped them avoid being sucked in by the missionaries. Whether it is true or not- I cannot know, but I hope it is. I have also had positive feedback from other counter-missionary websites and people affiliated with them. So, overall, I would say the site has been successful, the answers effective.

Heh, another positive effect has been on Yahoo! Answers itself where suddenly many of the worst comments are being deleted by the people that I have posted about here. So, even if nothing else, it is teaching those who would resort to such disgusting tactics that there is a consequence to their actions: and some of them obviously feel that the consequences of being featured on this blog are bad enough that they are trying to clean up their image.

You wrote about ‘James’ “shows his lack of immaturity”. Read correctly that means ‘James’ has a lack of immaturity, so he is in fact ‘mature’. Please fix. I do so hate to see the English language destroyed by those from other countries.

Also you make a hell of a lot of typos.

    • I’ll fix the typo- thanks. Heh, yes- i do miss having an editor catch my typos- something I enjoyed when I did my MBA

There’s a rumor going around that you are tied to a plot and the Feds are after you. Let me see if I can find more on Drudge Report or Brother Kempners site. Its all over the place.

    • HIlarious! what, do “messianic jews” think if they something enough times they can make it true? LOL Sorry, no truth to rumour and stopping to think for more than asecond would reveal the stupidity in the rumour! See, I live in South Africa- since the FBI only works within the borders of the USA I wouldn’t even feature. However, it seems some “messianic jews” are prepared to make up as many lies as they can to try and get it repeated across the internet. I’m flattered that people are so deperate to try and discredit me- but people, seriously, you need to find a way to do it that doesn’t end up showing what total fools you are!

And of course laurie has to show her reliance on a notorious hate site of an infamous anti-Semites. Unlike the rumour they are trying to spread that this is a hate site etc (untrue but the lack of fact doesn’t seem to prevent “messianic jews” from trying to claim that!)- “Brother Kempner’s site IS listed as a hate site! Unlike this site which is NOT watched by the FBI, “Brother Kempner’s” site IS on the FBI hate site list. Sadly, the fact that the person runs a hate site and is a well known anti-Semite doesn’t seem to stop some “messianic jews” from quoting him and referencing his site!

As an American I have the right to differ in opinion from you. Since I do not agree with what you are doing (embarassing people), where you are doing it (on the internet for the world to see) or when you are doing it (before the High Holy Days) I will be commenting further.

I wonder if you have any objection to my use of the handle “ALLONYOAVOPPOSED” since I feel that is an appropriate ID under the circumstances.

Thought I would run this by you first old fellow.

    • 1) Call yourself anything you like- if you define yourself through opposing me that says more about you than anything else
      2) Feel free to have any opinion you like, go mad with your opinions, express them away nobody is stopping you. Get crude or try posting “messianic jewish” theology and it won’t appear- you are welcome to express those sentiments elsewhere.
      3) Speaking lashon hara against those engaged in missionary activity IS allowed, and could be considered mandatory in situations when missioaries are active and there is a possibility of vulnerable people being influenced (see the post “Comment: the responsibility to counter missionaries

Another query: I find many of the comments very complicated like a legal document.

Do you think you could produce a more reader-friendly version for the reading challenged as myself.

    Good day old chap

Did it ever cross your mind that these people are mere ‘posers’ and not messianic jews at all?

Just an idea for what it’s worth.

    Good day old chap

    • Maybe they are- which then begs the question of why the “messianic jews” don’t speak out against them but instead try to make excuses for them or will attack the blog or attack me. And similarly on Yahoo! Answers- if these people are not actually ‘messianic jews”, then why do none of the “messianic jews” react to their statements or the manner in which they behave? So, based on the acceptance of these people by the “messianic jews” and their claiming to be “messianic jews”, unless evidence is brought to prove otherwise- I will take them at their word and call them “messianic jews”

I’m tring to follow this but haven’t seen one avatar with the name James under it. Care to explain? Plus, so what a penny ante discussion group has people who changed their ID and picture, happens on Google all the time.

Explain James and show me something with his name on it is all I ask. Other than that I think you may have made him up?

    Anything’s possible.

    • James- is also known as Jacob, ya’akov and in his latest avatar change as “Voay Nolla” (gee, wonder who he is copying?)

The bog deal wasn’t the avatar changes- the big deal was hia attempt at identity theft- altering his avatar and screenname to my avatar and screenname on Yahoo! Answers. Now, identity theft IS a big deal, especially when using the persons real picture and trying to pass yourself off as them! The only reason he didn’t get away with it is because he got caught out before he was able to conduct whatever illicit business he was going to try and pass off as coming from me! So the question remains- do you get what the big deal was now or do you believe identity theft is nothing to worry about?

Amaizing. The Blog status just reached 6,666.

    I’m outta here.

    • Heh, what you got against the number 6? You “hexaphobic”? 9Now theres a question- is that an actual term or what would the fear of the number 6 be called? LOL)

  11. Sol permalink

And would you detail how this will strengthen my faith?

If I encounter a missionary, how would this possibly strengthen the arguement for Judaism?

You should not enter a battle without the tools of war. This is the best you could come up with?

    I’m contacting Jews for Judaism.

    • Go for it- contact Jews for Judaism- you’ll find the link to their site and contact details in the links section in the right hand frame!

As for this site- it is to show the tactics utilised by the missionaries- not debate theology or give specific tools to counter them. it is to highlight tactics.
